Water Guardians
Continuing My Journey as a Water Guardian
During the last weeks as a volunteer in the Water Guardians program, I have lived experiences that taught me the value of teamwork and commitment.
My first experience was in early September, when we visited a local river to collect garbage. It was shocking to see the amount of plastic, but at the same time rewarding to leave the place cleaner.
Later, on September 10th, I participated in a workshop at school where I gave a short talk about saving water. Sharing knowledge with my classmates made me realize that awareness starts with small steps. Finally, last weekend we planted trees near a dry area.
It was hard work, but imagining the future forest gave us motivation.
For the coming days, I plan to collaborate in a campaign to reduce the use of single-use plastics. I also want to help create informative posters to place in public spaces. }
Volunteering keeps inspiring me to protect water and nature.
