The Air We Breathe

Air is one of the most essential elements for life, and every day I experience how important it is.

First experience: Last year, during winter, I visited Mexico City. The air was polluted, and it was hard to breathe. I walked downtown, and I realized how dirty air affects people’s health. I wore a mask and tried to stay in open spaces.

Second experience: Two months ago, I went hiking in a forest. The air was so fresh and clean that I immediately felt relaxed. I climbed a hill and took deep breaths. That experience reminded me that natural areas are treasures we need to protect.

Third experience: Last week, at school, we had an environmental activity about air pollution. I worked with my classmates to separate waste and discuss solutions. I felt proud to participate in something that helps us breathe cleaner air.

Planned activities: In the future, I plan to plant two trees near my neighborhood and also ride my bike more often instead of using the car. Both actions will reduce pollution and improve the air we all breathe.
